Besides spending as much time as I can communing with and tending the land, I occasionally dig into my old bag of tricks (fifteen years writing advertising and ten years as a freelance story consultant), to offer visiting teachers and healers help promoting themselves or their events to the greater Austin community.

 Promotion/Marketing

All workshops and events taking place at Turning Stones are announced through our highly focused mailing list, which is continuously growing with enthusiastic members of our conscious community here in Austin and beyond. We also offer (and highly recommend you take advantage of) linking your website to our own when you offer a workshop here. The Earth Stewards at Turning Stones are blogging and putting our web tendrils out there…green is the new machine.

If you are from out of town, we offer consulting regarding the various local media vehicles available to promote your event, writing press releases, as well as design and layout if you need it. We can even act as your media liaison. Rates are $35 hr. for these extra promotional services.

Video Production

Turning Stones has so many beautiful locations; it’s ideal for shooting promotional or educational footage. We can tape your workshop or event for a modest fee, burn copies, and you can make these available to students. Students often appreciate being able to purchase a DVD for future reference, plus this becomes an extra source of revenue for you during a teaching tour. If you want a more finished piece, we can edit the footage for promotional or workshop length uses. Prices vary depending on the length of the project. We’re happy to discuss specifics.
